The Writers Circle: The Power of Words

TWC
One of our goals here at Today’s Author is to help all of the writers among us to do what we love to do: write. One of the best ways to accomplish this is by talking to each other and learning from each other.  Our Writers Circle series is designed to do just that – provide a chance for us to discuss writing, editing and publishing questions.

This week’s topic is:

Today let’s talk about the power of writing. Has something you’ve written been so powerful that your entire process of writing has changed? What have you read or written that has changed your life in any way, good or bad?

Let’s discuss this in the comments and see what our community thinks.

  1. I am not sure if I would call it powerful, but powering through the NaNoWriMo last November seemed to super charge my process. This April during the 30 day A to Z Challenge I have been doing a 26 part character, setting and plot brainstorm for the next novel I will write this coming November.

  2. This happens from time to time. The one event that truly changed my writing process was being treated for cancer. The emotions and physical changes really changed my motivation and drive to write. I’ve gone from only writing when I was ‘inspired’ to writing on a regular schedule.
